Wired networks are a network of computers connected using hardware: physical cables and wires.Instructions and information are transmitted between the connected devices over the wires. VOIP business can be run over wired or wireless networks.

Wireless Networks (WiFi)

A wireless network is any type of computer network that uses wireless data connections for connecting network nodes.Wireless networking is a method by which homes, telecommunication networks and enterprise (business) installations avoid the costly process of introducing cables into a building, or as a connection between various equipment locations.

Blue Tooth Technology

Blue tooth is a Wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances from fixed and mobile devices, creating personal area networks (PANs). Created by telecom vendor Ericsson in 1994, it was originally conceived as a wireless alternative to RS-232 data cables. It can connect several devices, overcoming problems of synchronization.

Network Cables

Network Cables are used to connect one network device to other network devices or to connect two or more computers to share printer, scanner etc.

Input and Output Devises

An input device is any hardware device that sends data to a computer. An output device, on the other hand, is any hardware device that receives or displays information from a computer. A mouse is an example of an input device and a monitor is an example of an output device.

The CPU or the central processing unit is the brains of the computer were the calculations happens. These are inputted into the motherboard of a computer.

An operating software (OS) is a collection of software that manages computer hardware resources and provides common services for computer program. The operating system is an essential component of the system software in a computer system. Application programs usually require an operating system to function.

Application software is computer software designed to help the user perform singular or multiple related specific tasks.

Charles Babbage

"Charles Babbage." Wikipedia. Wikimedia Foundation, 1 Mar. 2014. Web. 13 Jan. 2014. <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Babbage

Charles Babbage  was an English polymath. He was a mathematician, philosopher, inventor and mechanical engineer, who is best remembered now for creating the idea of a programmable computer.
Considered a "father of the computer", Babbage is credited with inventing the first mechanical computer that eventually led to more complex designs. His varied work in other fields has led him to be described as "pre-eminent" among the many polymaths of his century.

Lady Lovelace (Lady Byron)
Lady Lovelace was an English mathematician and writer chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage's early mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. Her notes on the engine include what is recognized as the first algorithm intended to be carried out by a machine. Because of this, she is often described as the world's first computer programmer.

Grace Hopper was a computer scientist and in the U.S. Navy ranked as a Admiral. Another thing was that she was the first to use the term 'debugging" as a term for fixing a computer. Also she developed the first working compiler and developed COBOL, a programming language still used today.

The History Of the World Wide Web

Tim Berners-Lee, CERN (ca. 1991)

In 1980, Tim Berners -Lee, an independent contractor at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Switzerland, built ENQUIRE, as a personal database of people and software models. Also as a way to play with hypertext; each new page of information in ENQUIRE had to be linked to an existing page.
